George “Mike” Velan Beloved husband of Judith Velan. Loving father of Terry (Jill) Velan, Kevin (Meredith) Velan and Mary Velan. Cherished grandfather of Ben, Maddy; Ellie, Caroline. Devoted son of Virginia and the late George Velan.

Resident of Mt. Prospect for 36 years
He and Judy were married for 45 years.
Graduate of Notre Dame Class of 1968 with a degree in mechanical engineering and a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1969
He retired as a 40 year employee of Illinois Tool works
Visitation Thursday 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. at Northwest Hwy., Mt. Prospect. Lying in State Friday 10:00 AM until Mass 11:00 AM at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Rd. (Rt.83) at Lincoln St., Mt. Prospect.
